From the 3rd to the 7th of June 2024, Kenya and the United States the sixth round of negotiations under the U.S.-Kenya Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership in Mombasa, Kenya.

The Kenyan delegation was led by Principal Secretary for Trade Alfred K’Ombudo, while the US delegation was led by Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Constance Hamilton.

This round of negotiations allowed Kenya and the US to exchange views on the draft agreement text, regarding agriculture; customs, trade facilitation, and enforcement; good regulatory practices; and workers’ rights and protections.’’
